An attenuation pond, used as a temporary stormwater storage facility at the New Print Park property was constructed to reduce effects of flooding on the site.
The pond houses two pipes – an inlet pipe which measures 600mm in diameter, and an outflow pipe measuring 300mm in diameter. The different in capacity between the two pipes means the inflow rates are approximately four-times higher than outflow. The pond is therefore required to store the difference in the short term.
CC was specified for pond lining to prevent damage to the earthworks should a rain event occur.
