Drainage is a major issue for railways, with heavy rain often causing havoc, triggering mudslides and signal problems that delay trains. These issues are further compounded by the fact that most traditional drainage solutions require lengthy line possessions and heavy plant to install, or cannot be installed in wet weather. Find out how CC can solve these problems in our latest Rail newsletter.

Although originally designed for the construction industry, Concrete Canvas has huge potential for use in design-led projects and is increasingly being used by the Design community in innovative new ways to create sculptures, furniture and art installations, many of which have been featured by publications and exhibitions around the world. Concrete Canvas: Installation whatever the weather!

For many, the tail end of 2012 was the wettest in recent memory, with heavy rainfall causing severe flooding across the UK. Ongoing construction projects, as well as reactive flood defence, drainage programmes and landslide remediation works have been subject to costly delays, due to the inability to reliably install poured or sprayed concrete in wet conditions.

Take a look at some examples of projects where CC has been installed in wet weather, with no interuption to works, here.

Customers continue to find new and exciting applications for CC around the world. In the last 6 months it has been trialled for bund lining, boat ramp extensions, cable covering and even flower pots!  As well as the more familiar erosion control applications…
