CCX Canal Lining Project in Canal de Provence
The Canal de Provence, spanning a vast network, has served as a lifeline for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France. Its historical significance dates back to the 19th century when it was constructed to address water scarcity issues and stimulate agricultural development. Today, it continues to be a crucial artery, providing drinking water, industrial process water, fire defence resources, and irrigation water to 107 municipalities and 50,000 hectares of agricultural land.
In an era of growing environmental challenges and increasing demands on water resources, securing a reliable water supply has become important. A remarkable project was recently undertaken in Canal de Provence, where over 15,000m2 of CCX-M material was installed. This installation marked a significant milestone in ensuring the water supply for 2 million people across 107 municipalities, safeguarding industrial processes, enhancing fire defence capabilities, and securing agricultural irrigation in the region.
