CC5® lined 270m² of a damaged leat at Cynrig Hatchery
Project Overview
In January 2014, Concrete Canvas® GCCM (CC) was specified as an erosion protection liner for a leat at Cynrig Hatchery, near Brecon in Wales. The leat had sustained damage and erosion over time; it’s original wood-lined face and an adjoining rock bed was leaking into a nearby reed run and threatened the hatchery’s infrastructure.
Solution
It was decided to reprofile the leat and install an erosion control lining. CC Batched Rolls were chosen due to the difficulty of getting heavy plant near the installation site.
