A total of 10,250m² of Concrete Canvas' CC8™ material was specified for installation at a mine site in the UK.
The material was required as to line channels and a number of adjoining slopes in order to provide an effective water management system and divert rain water runoff away from drilling platforms on the site.
Collins Earthworks carried out the works on behalf of the client, including a significant amount of ground preparation works as a result of the rocky ground.
A spreader beam, crane, hand tools and simple fixings including ground pegs and stainless steel screws were used to carry out the installation in stages across four months.
The project spanned over later summer, autumn and early winter, with installation being carried out in a variety of weather conditions including rain and snow, which would have caused delays had traditional methods been used for installation.
