The flexibility of Concrete Canvas® (CC) and CC Hydro™ (CCH) products mean that they can be used for a variety of uses outside our core applications and across multiple sectors. The materials are suitable for any application that requires the rapid application of a durable, fibre-reinforced and waterproof concrete lining.
OTHER APPLICATIONS FOR CC & CCH
CC can be installed rapidly, removed easily using a disc cutter and disposed of like any other concrete, making it an ideal solution
for temporary works while providing impact, vandalism and vegetation growth protection as well as maintenance reduction for
effective pipe and cable protection solutions.
Installations in underground mines are complex due to access restrictions and the sensitive nature of the sites. CC can be cut to size and transported by hand, allowing for a rapidly erected vent wall solution.
CC’s flexural strength, UV and puncture resistance, and weed suppression enable the material to be used as an alternative to armoured facings on geosynthetic reinforced structures.

INSTALLATION PRINCIPLES FOR OTHER APPLICATIONS
Prepare the substrate so that surfaces are well compacted, geotechnically stable with a smooth, uniform surface.
It is important to prevent water and wind ingress between the CC and the substrate, both around the perimeter of the installation and along the joints.
It is important to ensure that the CC is jointed at every overlap between layers and that those layers are fixed to the surface.
It is important to properly hydrate CC, using enough water for the quantity of material used and allowing for drying conditions.
